7-14-05 - A fugitive that was hiding out in southeastern Oklahoma is now in custody. With the help of his attorney, Jeremy Toomey surrendered to authorities earlier tonight in Sallisaw, Oklahoma at the Sequoyah County courthouse.

Last seen in Choctaw and Bryan counties, Toomey was sought as a material witness in his stepfather's retrial. That man was convicted once of murdering a California state trooper years ago. Authorities say Toomey surrendered because he was tired of being chased and was getting pressure from his family.

As for the $10,000 reward, no one gets it since he surrendered.
