Retiring Guardsmen Honored

7-14-05 - Three veteran members of the Oklahoma National Guard were honored at a retirement ceremony today in Bryan County. Part of the 1st Battalion 180th Infantry Division, each of the three men has more than 20 years of service.

Sgt 1st Class James Bramblet of Durant received the Oklahoma Distinguished Medal and Meritory Service Medal along with Sgt 1st Class Cecil Smith of Caddo and Staff Sgt David Lacaze. Lacaze recently returned from Afghanistan.
