8-30-05 - Gas prices are virtually $3 per gallon in Oklahoma City and are approaching that level in Tulsa.
A Shell station in far northwest Oklahoma City was selling gas for $2.99 per gallon this afternoon while a Kum and Go in southeastern Tulsa was charging $2.96 per gallon.
The manager of the Shell station declined comment to a reporter, but a clerk later said he was told to explain that the station paid $2.90 per gallon and raised its prices only about a dime.
