Local Soldiers Head for Katrina's Path

9-2-05 - More local soldiers are heading to Katrina's wake. Oklahoma National Guardsmen from the 180th in Durant and Ada are joining members of the 345th Core Support Battalion who left on Wednesday.

20 soldiers will come from Durant, while 100 will come from Ada and another 30 from McAlester.

The units will leave anytime between Friday night and Monday. Oklahoma hopes to have 2,200 in Louisiana by next week.
