7-28-05 - A small plane made a crash landing in northwest Carter County Thursday afternoon. A pilot from Yuma, Arizona was on his way home from McKinney when a drop in oil pressure forced him to land in a field.
But the landing gear of the Cessna 175A was sheared off when the pilot experienced a sudden loss of power as he tried to avoid a barbed wire fence near Pooleville Road. The pilot wasn't hurt.
