Two upper level waves will interact with a warm and very moist air mass to generate thunderstorms through Saturday. Lightning and torrential rainfall that could cause flash flooding are the primary threats...with a secondary threat of damaging winds. Turn around, don't drown!
7-31-05 – Ardmore police are looking for an armed robber. They say a man walked into the Lasley’s One Stop convenience store on South Commerce and Myall around 4:30 a.m. Friday. He threatened the clerk with a steel pipe. He got away with all the money in the cash drawer and the clerk’s car.
Saturday, police found two bicycles in a parking lot next to the convenience store. They believe the robber rode up on one of those bikes, then left in the clerk's personal vehicle.
Investigators spent the weekend fingerprinting the bikes, but still have no named suspects. They are also reviewing surveillance video. No customers were in the store during the robbery and the clerk was not injured.
