8-23-05 - New laws in Texas could change how you take care of a ticket.
Starting September 1, 2005, a judge will require any driver under the age of 25 convicted of a moving violation to take a driving safety course.
Additionally, if the convicted driver is under 18, then that person must also complete a ten dollar DPS road test.
The days of just paying a ticket and moving on are over for younger drivers.
Also for the first time this fall, breaking the child safety seat law will also be considered a moving violation.
