9-13-05 - A man found dead along a highway in Bonham had been in the Fannin County jail a few days before. Tx-Dot workers found the body of 55-year-old Richard Chisom late Tuesday afternoon in a ditch along highway 121.
Chisom, of Ector, was last seen Thursday afternoon leaving the Fannin County Jail on foot – released after posting bond on a September 5th DWI charge. But his body was found just half a mile from the jail.
There were no obvious signs of trauma on Chisom's body. The medical examiner is conducting an autopsy to determine what may have caused his death.
A family friend told First News that Chisom was diabetic and suffered from health problems.
