PUSHMATAHA COUNTY, OK - A meth lab busted in Pushmataha county Thursday. Now the two residents of that house are under arrest.

Timmy Thomas and Cathy Geter are facing charges of aggravated manufacturing of meth, and possession of meth and marijuana.

District Attorney Laura Ross Wallis says the Drug Task Force got a search warrant for their residence southeast of Rattan, where they found an active meth lab containing more than 500 grams of methamphetamine oil and a twelve year old girl.

Thomas and Geter are also facing child endangerment charges.

Tim Thomas did not have a lab set up at his home. He never went anywhere or sold to anyone. All he had was a few bottles which they call a lab!! And the prior arrest was deferred because he was found with a baggie with a trace in it. He is not a menance to society! The menances are the drug task force agents who are on drugs and not reporting part of the drugs or money they collect at the scene! INVESTIGATE THAT! FIRST LETS START HAVING THE POLICE TAKE URINE TESTS if we're going to pay their wages!

Sadly, Push county and McCurtian county both have a long history with drugs. The fact that a lab was busted outside of Rattan is of no surprise to anybody that lives in this area of Oklahoma. The fact that Tim's P.O. never checked up on him is, sadly, of no surprise either. This is the good 'ole boy...country buddy system than ran rural America 100 years ago...it is still in operation here (though) today! It's all about who you know. It's all about "looking the other direction". And it is all about "it is none of your business what is going on around here". It is not really about what is right or wrong, legal or not legal, moral or not moral. Sadly, the diminishing communities in these counties have no idea why people and commerce are moving away. Eventually, only the old that cannot move out and the lawless that don't want to leave will live in this area of Oklahoma.

How many offenders do probation officers have in that county Bill? Sometimes it is impossible to keep up with them all, especially when they don't report or give an accurate address.

If their DA is like the one here they'll get a Deferred sentence.

Timmy Thomas is on probation out of the Antlers probation office. I looked him up on doc website. What I want to know, is where was his parole officer during all this. Arent they supposed to be out checking on these felons? Protecting our community? From what I have seen on the news and heard around town, it was a huge operation and the fact of children present is awful. If them PO's were out doing their jobs, some of this could have been stopped. Probation in Antlers has been a joke for ever. There is no fear among the criminals of getting caught by their PO's. They just laugh at them all the way to their labs.
