Pakistan's prime minister tells CNN about 43 thousand are injured. The death toll in India has climbed over 600.
Pakistani President General Pervez Musharraf calls the seven-point-seven magnitude earthquake the country's worst disaster on record.
A Pentagon spokeswoman says US officials are researching what
they can do. The coalition in Afghanistan says Washington hasn't
issued instructions to help, and a NATO spokesman says those forces
aren't allowed to operate outside Afghanistan.
Pakistan's prime minister says six to eight transport helicopters from the US are to arrive tomorrow.
