GRAYSON COUNTY, Tex. -- Grayson County Sheriff's deputies have several people in custody after a warrant round-up Friday. Investigators and U.S. Marshals started knocking on doors at 6 a.m. Friday morning looking to arrest people with outstanding warrants.

Sergeant Rickey Wheeler says they had about 50 warrants to serve and hit about 30 houses, traveling from Grayson County into southern Oklahoma, to serve warrants for everything from criminal mischief to forgery to drug possession charges.

"Today was successful, getting these 10 felons in jail. We will continue to do this. The other 40, we will be tracking them down, new addresses and new places of work and business…any place we can locate them at," Wheeler said.

Deputies urge people to turn themselves in if they have outstanding warrants.

I agree with Anonymous @01:53 It should be done every 3 to 6 months. Pay your fines people or go to jail!

red foxx, what are you thinking? a warrant is only issued after a person fails to comply with a court order. they have had every chance to comply or even ask to alter the order and have ignored it. a warrant is the last resort and I'm all for a roundup. it needs to be done more often.

The problem is the idiots have had their chance to take care of their problems. The deadbeats need to be picked up and made responsible for their actions.
