Okla. man critical after storm that killed wife

ADA, Okla. (AP) - A Pontotoc County man is in critical condition at an Oklahoma City hospital following a storm that overturned his mobile home and killed his wife.

A spokesman for the University of Oklahoma Medical Center says 54-year-old Rick Epperly was at the hospital Tuesday after being flown there Monday night.

Authorities say Epperly was injured and 51-year-old Michelle Epperly was killed when the storm with strong straight-line winds struck their trailer home near Ada.

The storm was part of a cluster of spring-like severe storms that rolled across the state Monday. No tornado warnings were issued, but some of the storms were accompanied by strong, straight-line winds that officials say produced isolated pockets of damage - including downed power poles that damaged several automobiles at an Edmond auto dealership.
