2-1-06 - The area's top high school football recruit has committed to OU. Jermaine Gresham, a tight end from Ardmore, is considered one of the top 40 recruits in the nation by rivals.com. He kept his choice a secret until today.

Wednesday is national signing day across the nation, but Gresham's committment to OU will certainly help them with what is expected to be a top 10 class.

Gresham has also considered the University of Miami.

The list of OU committments also includes running back Mossis Madu of Norman, linebackers Daniel Tabon of Altus and Brandon Crow of Comanche, quarterback Sam Bradford of Oklahoma City,

Other Sooner signees include running backs Chris Brown of
Alexandria, Louisiana, and DeMarco Murray of Las Vegas, receivers
Brandon Caleb of Atlanta and Adron Tennell of Irving, Texas, and
tight end Eric Mensik of Rosenberg, Texas.

Defensive linemen Adrian Taylor of Mansfield, Texas, Jeremy Beal
of Carrolton, Texas, Tim Johnson of Homewood, Illinois, and Pryce
Macon of Corpus Christi, Texas, also signed with the Sooners with
linebacker Chris Patterson of Chicago. As well as Dominique Frank, a defensive back from Tulsa.

Also signing with OU are defensive backs Jonathan Nelson of
Arlington, Texas, and Malcolm Williams of Grand Prairie, Texas,
wide receiver Brandon Caleb of Atlanta.

Offensive linemen Brandon Walker of Detroit, Trent Williams of
Longview, Texas, and Cory Brandon of Corsicana, Texas, also signed
with OU.

DTV Transition: KXII-TV off the air temporarily
Last Updated: 4:33 PM 10/12/08 - Television service to thousands has been disrupted by more than the planned DTV transition over the weekend. KXII-TV's digital television transmitter failed on Sunday. This is in addition to the planned analog shut off for antenna work at the trasmitter site in Madill, Oklahoma.
