PARIS, Tex. – The Starbucks Corporation named all 600 company-owned stores it plans to close, and one of them is right here in Texoma.

The Starbucks Coffee in Paris on Lamar Avenue and Highway 286 is the latest to announce it is closing its doors in the next few months.

This is all in an effort by the corporation to boost business by weeding out unprofitable locations.

According to the company's website, this is the only Texoma location that is shutting down.

Yes, gas is higher. But really..... Great coffee is great coffee! Besides, it's become a routine for me & my family to visit the Sherman Starbucks on the weekends. We all go to Starbucks, order a drink, read the newspaper, & catch up w/each other. It's become a family thing for us and it sure beats going to an over-priced restaurant to do the same thing. And unlike an eating establishment, we can stay as long as we choose without being hurried out. We would surely miss it if it were taken away from us. Besides, it's really humorous listening to my masculine husband order a "double Venti Iced Americano w/ 3 Splendas & 2 Equals." :)

Great. Now there will be an entire two block stretch without a Starbucks. How will we survive?
