SHERMAN, TX – Victims of the deadly bus crash that happened early Friday morning were taken to a number of local hospital. According to Fire Chief Jeff Jones, Wilson N. Jones hospital in Sherman was the closest to the accident site of Highway 75 and Park Street.

Nineteen survivors were quickly rushed to Wilson N. Jones shortly after the accident; two of those patients had to be taken into emergency surgery. Three others have been released, while another three were transferred to Harris, Baylor, and Parkland hospitals in Ft. Worth and Dallas. Three of the patients at Wilson N. Jones are currently listed in critical condition while three others are listed in serious condition. Because Wilson N. Jones used to be the only trauma center in Sherman, officials say they were prepared.

Texoma Medical Center also took five patients from the accident. One of those patients was a 14 year old child but has already been treated and released. Two of those taken to TMC had to be flown to Parkland for further treatment. No word on their condition.

Wilson N. Jones and TMC are scheduled to hold a joint news conference at 2:00 pm at Wilson N. Jones in Sherman.

Some of the posts made by the truly ignorant are the reason it should be against the law to keep some folks away from guns, sharp objects, and computers. WTG everyone involved in helping out during this time.

It saddens me as a Catholic and Nurse in this community that others would make such inapproiate comments of the health care facilities and the staff that care for and provide assistance to the community in the texoma area. It is a time for self reflection and spirital awakening. God Bless our community, hospitals, Emergency services, All Hospital employees from the doctors to the housekeepers. Just everyone in our community that helped with all efforts to provide the care and love to those in need at this tragic time. A special prayer for the families and loved ones effected by the outcome of this most profound event. As an employee of both WNJ and TMC lets all strive to continue to provide the best care possible. Thank you. I am proud of you all.

I just know we woke up to this horriffic news this morning and reporters were already out at the scene. After reading some of the comments why do our community take situations like this to do more harm than good? To all of the people involved from the people getting off from work who called it in and tried to slow and stop traffic until the emergency crews got there to all the pastors and clergy to the interpreturs.We as acommunity should look at this as a time for prayer for all that these people have seen it will leave a lasting effect on this town forever. From all walks of life we as humans should bond together instead of using this time to bash all the effort that went into getting these people of this accident the help they needed so all i have to say is that should be overflow in our churchs on Sunday praying to God that he has given us another day, also praying for the victims of the crash and also for the emergency personel remember this will have a lasing effect on all of us.

lets cut the budget a little and just shave off an ambulance.. that will save the taxpayers alot
