Sunday Afternoon and Evening ... Scattered intense thunderstorms are expected, some severe. Large hail, high winds and the potential for isolated tornadoes will be the main threats. Locally heavy is rain also possible with these storms.
LAMAR CO., TX-New details about a deadly crash in Lamar county. The head-on collision killed three people and injured several others.
Texas DPS troopers are still at the scene of the accident on Highway 82 at County Road 34050 in Lamar county. That's near Brookston.
Around 3:20 Wednesday afternoon, Garland DPS said a pickup with five people inside was headed east on 82 when it crossed the center line and collided head on with another truck traveling west.
Three people died at the scene.
The East Texas Medical Center in Tyler said they're not sure how many other survivors were flown to hospitals in Dallas.
