Before you can vote for Barack Obama or John McCain, you’ll need to make sure you are registered to vote. The deadline to register and be eligible to vote in the November 4 general election is approaching in Texas and Oklahoma.

The deadline was October 6 in Texas, and residents in Oklahoma must apply by October 10.

Also individuals who have changed their addresses, names, or political affiliations must complete new voter registration applications before the October 10 deadline in Oklahoma.

Applications in Oklahoma are available at county election boards’ offices, TAG agencies, public libraries, post offices, and the state election board.

Applications may also be downloaded from the state election board’s website at http://www.elections.state.ok.us

To see if you are already registered to vote in Texas, check https://voterinfo.sos.state.tx.us/voterws/viw/faces/SearchSelectionVoter.jsp.

Thank you Fozzy for informing the poor Democrats on the correct day to vote. KXII is trying to confuse them. GO MCCAIN!

Does it have to get to the office by that date or just be postmarked by that date?

And for Democrats, the dates for registering in Texas is the 7th of October and for Oklahoma Democrats the date for registering is the 11th of October. Also remember that the date to Vote for Obama is on Wednesday the 5th of November.
