DALLAS -- An 18-year-old woman was arrested in Dallas for murder in a Paris, Texas. Veta Monique Robinson, of Paris, was arrested by U.S. Marshals in a Dallas apartment complex late Tuesday.

Paris police assistant chief Bob Hundley says Robinson faces murder charges in the death of Dontrae Mitchell, also of Paris.

Police say 25-year-old Mitchell was shot in the head on September 19 in the 1300 block of 11th Street Northeast.

Robinson is being held on a $500,000 bond.

this is ridiculous,she never thought for a second that Dontrae would live to tell who his killer was. thank god for that, This was a loss of a young up and coming citizen. Family look to the hills for that is where your strength comes from... Regardless if he had did a pokie in narcotics, he is still a human being that had family that loved him. No one has the right to take a life. Veta is a ruthless, evil person that you robbed and killed a father,husband,son for money.The bond is set at 500,000 now no matter how much money you robbed Dontrae for cannot get you out of trouble and it will not give his children 1 more day to get a hug,or kiss from DADDY.. I hope they give her a 100 yrs.

IT STILL AMAZES ME THAT WE HAVE STUPID IGNORANT PEOPLE ON HERE THAT THINK THEY ARE DISGUISING THEIR PREJUDICE AND RACIST REMARKS. DONTRAE IS BLACK AND SO WAS THE 18 YEAR WOMAN WHO KILLED HIM. THIS IS NOT A HATE CRIME BECAUSE THEY ARE BLACK. SHE WAS KNOWN FOR ROBBERY AND JACKING PEOPLE ALL THE TIME. WHAT EVER THE CASE MAYBE SHE HAD NO RIGHT TO TAKE HIS LIFE. AND USUALLY IF A **WHITE PERSON***KILLS A ANOTHER RACE, IT USUALLY IN MOST CASES IS A HATE CRIME YOU DUMMY. IF YOU APPLY MORE RESEARCH BEFORE YOU USE YOUR OWN JUDGEMENT THEN YOU WOULD KNOW. I BET YOU STILL LIVE IN DURANT COUNTY IN A BARN.

I agree do the crime do the time; If our justice system would get a little more stiffer penalites on the outrages, mean sensless crimes; people would start thinking twice about what they act. Why wouldn't you want to go to jail these days you don't have any worry problems..you get access to just about anything and don't have worry about the everyday life things for instance, work...etc.. she needs to go under the jail... p.s if the stock market crashes you have a place to live..if your jail

My personal opinion is....THIS was a HATE Crime. The alleged killer is obviously Black, and just a guess, judging by the victims name ,he was most likely Black also. If she killed him, she probably was feeling a lot of hate at the time! When all is said and done, we may find out the "shooter" was abused, etc....so let's give her the benefit of a doubt. Innocent until proven guilty. However, I would like to note ...if the "shooter" had been caucasian....there would be accusations of "HATE CRIME".....and let's not forget Laura Boren and her babies, who were brutally slaughtered and mutilated . I guarantee that if Andre had been white, and Laura and the babies black...THAT would have been called a Hate Crime and Oprah would have been in town! OJ Simpson got off back in the 1990's ...NOT because he was innocent..but because he had the finest legal mind in America ..Johnny Cochran....and the fact that Mark Furhman used the "N" word in public 10 years before OJ killed Nicole and Gusman.
