ACHILLE, OK-The town of Achille is without a police chief again and its mayor has resigned.
Former Mayor Dean Collins said the council was supposed to officially reinstate Shane Guhl as police chief at Tuesday night's meeting, but 3 out of 5 city counselors voted not to. Collins said he then handed in his resignation because he did not agree with the decision.
Guhl says he's planning to sue the town. Collins handed over his duties to vice-mayor Rhonda Howell.
