COOKE CO., TX - Emergency officials have canceled the amber alert for one-year-old boy who they said was kidnapped by his father.
Cooke County Sheriff Mike Compton says Jason Bailey Colwell has been found. He was returned to CPS in California today. The boy is the ward of CPS.
His father William Bailey Colwell of Gainesville, was supposed to turn his son over to CPS yesterday, but didn't.
Instead, he ended up giving the boy to authorities in Solano County, California.
No word yet on whether or not charges will be filed against his father.
