Ardmore woman gets 23 years for husband's murder

ARDMORE, OK - An Ardmore woman convicted of killing her husband was sentenced to prison Wednesday morning.

The Carter County District Attorney's Office said 40-year-old LaVonda Sue Pinnick will spend twenty-three years behind bars.

Pinnick is convicted of second degree murder for the shooting death of 51-year-old Vernon Love.

District Attorney Craig Ladd said Pinnick will serve ten years in prison for Love's death and another thirteen years for a firearm crime and two drug related crimes.
