ARDMORE, OK - Ardmore High School will begin a block schedule next school year.
The new AHS schedule will have four 90 minute class periods each day, alternating between A days and B days.
Monday and Wednesdays will be A days, Tuesday and Thursdays are B days, Fridays will alternate between A and B.
Currently, the high school has seven 45 minute classes everyday.
Ardmore High School Principal Kim Holland said getting students adjusted to sitting for longer tests will better prepare them for college entrance exams.
Holland said a longer class period also means more time for lessons, such as science labs.
