ARDMORE, OK--The Ardmore Higher Education Center is now officially the University Center of Southern Oklahoma.

The name was recently changed on the campus and last month Oklahoma governor Mary Fallin signed a law that changed the name of the higher Ed center.

Lawmakers said they wanted to enhance the institution's image with a name that better reflects the students, school, and its opportunities.

Over the years Murray State College has teamed up with Universities like Oklahoma state, East Central, and Southeastern Oklahoma state to offer more Degree programs to students.

University Center? Oh I forgot, Ardmore thinks it is the center of all things great and small. That name fits with this "delusion of grandeur" that defines Ardmore Talk about a problem that didn't need to be solved!

Are you really trying to complain about someone trying to further their education? Herd? Cents instead of sense?.....Even if its only a 2 year degree it has to be better than whatever you got.

What did that cost the taxpayers? Do you really think a name change is going to draw more students?
