ARDMORE, OK - An Ardmore man is behind bars for breaking into a local residence in attempt to evade police.

21-year-old Darren Johnson was booked into the Carter County jail Thursday.

He is charged with first degree burglary and intent to sell marijuana.

Johnson allegedly busted through the front door of an occupied house thursday afternoon while running from narcotics officers.

Police said the arrest stems from a tip that Johnson was selling marijuana.

He is being held on a $45,000 bond.

The homeowner was not injured.
