GORDONVILLE, TX-Authorities are still waiting for the green-light to start cleaning up an abandoned Gordonville property.
We told you last week that Fannie Mae owns the home and land on Chesterfield road since it was foreclosed on months ago. Neighbors told us they were concerned about the trash left behind that it could be a health hazard.
Grayson County Environmental Officer, David Woods, said the realtor in charge of selling the property on Chesterfield road is still waiting on a legal order by Fannie Mae to allow them to start cleaning up.
He said if the mess isn't taken care of soon, Fannie Mae could face environmental violation charges. That can range from a class-B misdemeanor to a state jail felony.
