DENISON, TX-Grayson county residents enjoyed a spectacle in the sky as a commemorative World War II bomber flies into North Texas Regional Airport.
The Boeing B-29 Superfortress--also known as "FiFi"--has been flying in Denison since Thursday as part of pilot training. Airport director, Mike Shahan said the plane visits Grayson county once in a while from the air force base in Addison.
Larry Pennington was passing through Denison when he saw the plane and thought he'd check it out.
"It just tickles me to death. Both my father and my wife and sister-in-law's father were in World War II and the B-29 flying fortress is one of the, if not the primary, bomber of World War II," he said.
The B-29 Superfortress took to the skies for the first time in September 1942 and it's the only one that can still fly.
