MARIETTA, OK - A large brush fire southeast of Marietta caused smoke to be seen for miles Sunday afternoon, and fire officials say its suspicious.

Emergency management said the fire started around noon near Love Valley Road off State Highway 32. More than 1,500 acres have burned along the Red River.

Firefighters said twelve fire departments were called in to help. Crews said they were able to contain the fire to an unpopulated area. They said they hope the fire will extinguish itself because its almost impossible to get to the burning location.
