CARTER COUNTY, OK -- One person is dead after a crash in Carter County Friday afternoon.
OHP says 70-year-old John Iven was trying to get back on I-35 when he struck a pickup driven by 59-year-old James Wayne Pierce.
The accident happened near exit 29 in Ardmore around 5 o'clock. Troopers say Iven's passenger Carel Iven , of Bedford, Texas died on scene after she was ejected from the vehicle.
Authorities say Iven was treated and released from a local hospital.
Troopers say Pierce was not injured.
