Couple sentenced to prison in Ada bank robbery

ADA, OK - An Ada woman who robbed the bank where she worked is headed to prison.

20-year-old Meagan Nicole Short was sentenced to three years in prison followed by three years of supervised release.

She was also fined $78,000.

Short and her boyfriend David Jaquonn Cole were arrested in October in connection with the robbery of Citizens Bank in Ada.

A federal indictment states they stole over $150,000 from the bank.

Cole was sentenced to eight years in prison for the robbery.

A third suspect, Tristan David Williams, is set for a preliminary hearing later this month.
