Denison goes forward with pocket park

A pocket park is an outdoor park behind the façade of a downtown building. At Monday's meeting, the council announced the city will now take bids and move forward with phase one, which is demolition.

Denison Mayor Jared Johnson said the next step will be improvements to the property. City Manager Robert Hanna said construction on the park should start around New Year's.
