59-year-old Carmen Moore stole $65,000 from the city of Ardmore over a seven year period. She was fired from her position as utility billing supervisor in February.

Moore will serve an eight year deferred sentence, including 90 days in the Carter County Dentention Center. A judge also ordered her to pay a $5,000 fine and perform 500 hours of community service.

Moore paid the city full restitution and forfeited her retirement benefits.

She is set to begin her 90 days in the county jail Dec. 27.

Ardmore City Manager J.D. Spohn declined to comment on Moore's sentencing. Our calls to Mayor Bob Guerin were not returned.
