Former OKC Thunder announcer charged with lewd molestation

ARREST: James Miller. The public address announcer for the Oklahoma City Thunder NBA basketball team has been arrested on complaints of lewd or indecent acts with a child under 16, police reported Thursday. James Allan Miller, 41, of Harrah, is accused of three counts of lewd or indecent acts with a child under 16, according to a probable cause affidavit filed Thursday in Oklahoma County. Miller is also a speech teacher and tennis coach at Harrah High School, said Phil Stewart, the district's resource officer. He was taken into custody by Warr Acres police while attending a meeting at Putnam City High School. School officials placed Miller on paid administrative leave Thursday pending the outcome of the investigation. He was booked in to Oklahoma County jail Thursday, a jail official said. GARVIN CO., OK-A former Oklahoma City Thunder announcer, already accused of multiple sex crimes, was charged with lewd molestation in Garvin county.

44-year-old James Miller turned himself into Garvin County authorities Friday. He was charged with two counts of lewd molestation relating to an incident that occurred in Stratford in 2004. Miller entered a plea of not guilty and was released on a $50,000 bond.

Earlier this year Miller was charged with six counts of child sexual abuse in Pontotoc county and two counts of lewd acts to a child under 16 in Oklahoma county.
