TISHOMINGO, OK - Members of the Johnston County Emergency Management have deployed to Louisiana to help with the aftermath of Hurricane Isaac.
Emergency Manager Betty Roan said a FEMA connected service, American Medical Response (AMR), has requested they send one ambulance and a two man crew to Baton Rouge.
The crew left Tishomingo at noon Tuesday.
Roan said their mission is to transport non-ambulatory patients to other hospitals that are out of Isaac's path.
She said additional Johnston County EMS crews are on standby for deployment to Shreveport, LA.
