ARDMORE, OK --Voters in Ardmore Oklahoma headed to the polls today to cast critical votes in the super Tuesday presidential primaries.

Voters lined up early Tuesday morning to cast primary ballots for the Republican candidate who'll face off in the General Election against President Obama.

"I'm just voting for Mitt Romney, we have some choices but it seems to be the best choice at this point " said Seeliger.

"I voted for Newt Gingrich, I feel he is well qualified for the job, he has lots of experience " said Wright.

While voters ' reasons for making their selections may be different their primary goal appears to be the same.

"The main thing is we need someone who can defeat Obama" said Wright.

"Maybe we can beat the other man in the general election now" said Seeliger.

"Best chance to beat Mr. Obama" said Creet.

Kirk Rodden, Chair of the social science department at Murray state college says the polls are pointing at Rick Santorum as a front runner in Oklahoma - The state described by many as "the reddest of the red states."

"My anticipated outcome is that the Senator from Pennsylvania will carry Oklahoma due to the social conservative influence that is very deep in Oklahoma" said Rodden.

Rodden said much will depend on whether people vote for their favorite candidate, or for the republican they think has the best chance to win in November he says those votes will likely go to Romney.

"If it's people that are voting their conscious and Mitt Romney's not conservative for them then they're going to vote for senator Santorum" said Rodden.

"Rick has some good ideas i just like to get the insiders out so I'm going to stay with Mitt Romney" said Seeliger.
