Madill residents to vote on multi-million dollar school bond

MADILL, OK - Madill voters will head to the polls in a few weeks to decide on a multi-million dollar school bond, but officials said it's not just the students who'll benefit.

Superintendent Jon Tuck said the money will be used to build a new activity center and an Agriculture Education/Career Technology building.

The money would also put six safe shelter rooms in all four school facilities.

Tuck said the proposed bond should be paid off by 2027.

He said approving the bond is not just in the best interest of students, but for the whole community.

A similar bond issue for Madill Public School was shot down in February.

A public meeting regarding the bond will be held Aug.16 in the school cafeteria at 7 p.m.

Voting will take place August 28th.
