CHICKASHA, OK - A Chickasha man who deputies said knowing spread HIV to women is headed to trial.
24-year-old Chris Sylve is charged with three counts of second degree rape and two counts of intentionally spreading HIV. Prosecutors said Slyve was diagnosed in 2005.
He was arrested by Garvin County deputies last March after authorities said he had unprotected sex with a number of women exposing them to the virus. Sheriff Larry Rhodes said Sylve frequented the Pauls Valley area before his arrest.
The Grady County Assistant District Attorney said his trial is set to begin in August. He is being held in the Grady County jail on a $1 million bond.
Sylve will be formally arraigned April 11.
