ARDMORE, OK - A Carter County man charged with murder pleaded not guilty in court Wednesday morning.
35-year-old Tommy James Millsap was arraigned on a first degree murder charge at 9 a.m.
Millsap is accused of shooting and killing Toby Albin in March.
The two allegedly got into an argument at Millsap's home on Clover Lane.
Authorities said that is when Millsap shot Albin with a shotgun, however Millsap's family said he was acting in self defense.
Court records show Millsap will go to trial Nov. 5.
He remains in the Carter County detention center on a $1.5 million bond.
