ANTLERS, OK-The case of an Enid man found dead in Antlers was turned over to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
OSBI's Jessica Brown said 26-year-old Dustin Whitener was found dead in his Antlers home December 13. She said Whitener was in an altercation in the 200 block of SW C the night before, then he walked half a block to his home wounded and refused medical treatment. Brown said Whitener died the next day.
She said they're ruling his death a homicide.
"He was involved in an altercation we believe possibly the wounds that he received during the altercation are what caused his homicide or his death," she said.
Brown said they are still waiting for the medical examiner's reports. They will soon release their findings to the Pushmataha district attorney.
She said no suspects are in custody.
