ARDMORE, OK--Troopers in Oklahoma are beefing up their patrols and gearing up for the 4th of July holiday.
State Troopers will be out in full force from now until Sunday to make sure that roadways and waterways are safe and to ensure drivers are complying with the law.
The "Operation Care" initiative is part of a nationwide effort by state police and highway patrol agencies to reduce fatalities during holiday periods.
