SHERMAN, TX-You won't have to wait until Black Friday to get a head start on your holiday shopping.
Sherman Parks and Recreation is hosting a Holiday Bazaar Saturday at the Sherman Municipal Ballroom. There will be 36 vendors, most of them local, who'll showcase their crafts. Organizer Theresa Hutchinson said they are overwhelmed with how many people were interested in taking part.
"We were all looking for a new activity for the holidays and we thought we'd get a jump on everybody's shopping expeditions they're gonna have next week. We just thought it's a great opportunity for vendors to show off their crafts but for people to come out," she said.
The bazaar starts at 9 Saturday morning and closes at 3 p.m.
