Strong winds blow semi-truck onto pickup truck on I-35

GAINESVILLE, TEXAS -- A semi-truck flipped on top of a pickup truck this evening and firefighters say the wind is to blame.

Valley View firefighters got a call at 5:30 p.m. saying that a semi-truck had fallen onto another car on 35 southbound near exit 491.

Valley View's Assistant fire chief says the wind knocked the semi over, landing on top of a Dodge pickup truck.

The accident backed up traffic as far as six miles

Texas troopers, Valley View firefighters and Gainesville police were on the scene.
