HUGO, OK - A trial date has been set for the man accused of robbing and killing an elderly woman inside her Hugo home last summer. 26-year old Kelvin Knight was in court this morning for his arraignment.

Knight is charged with first degree murder in the death of 76-year-old Willie May Gill. Investigators say Knight stabbed Gill to death inside her home near Hugo last June.

Knight was arrested a few days later by U.S. Marshals on an unrelated charge. He has been in custody ever since.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says witnesses saw Knight with Gill's car and other items that were taken from her home.

A trial date of April 9th was set this morning.

Knight is being held without bond in the Choctaw County Jail.
