ARDMORE, OK - Two Oklahoma police officers receive an honor for all their hard work.

Ardmore police Sergeant Patrick James was named one of two recipients for the "Officer of the Quarter" award.

Chief Keith Mann said four times a year, officers nominate a fellow police officer to be recognized for their outstanding service.

James said he was surprised but pleased with the honor.

Corporal Randy O'Hanlon was also named "Officer of the Quarter"
and credits his fellow officers with his success.

Chief Mann said O'Hanlon volunteers his time to assist with the K-9 unit training.

Both officers received a gift certificate for their service.
