DENISON, TX-TxDOT is asking drivers to use caution along FM-120 as they work to repave the road from Denison to Pottsboro.
Area engineer, David Selman said crews are using a new type of pavement which allows water to seep through, and prevents water from splashing up when it rains. The pavement should extend the life of the road by ten years.
He said they'll stop construction over Memorial Day weekend, but before and after that, drivers should expect lane closures.

"We just ask folks to slow down as this construction is taking place. We're actually be completed with construction in possibly a couple of months so it's actually really a short time project," he said.

Thanks for the coverage on KXII but I drive that hwy. about 3-4 times a day and I think the people who should have been listening to the speed reduction work zone was somewhere else. Many of those trips I make (both in and out) there is usually sometime either looking at me ugly or trying to run over me when I slow down for the "worker" I have seen TXDOT working people so close to the open lane that they could have gotten "a close shave" they have respect for being brave enough to do what they do. ps you go to any county adjoining Grayson and will you see red, brown, white gravel roads; Maybe we can go back to that and maybe drivers will slow down or MOVE AWAY.

There is no good way to get in and out of Pottsboro now...either go down 406 and get your windshield busted by a rock or down 120 and get tar all over your truck. Hopefully next time they decide to improve our roads, they will think to just fix one route at a time

I dont get why it takes a week to repave all of 120 between Pottsboro and Denison. But 406 has been demolished and almost undrivable for over a month.

I never noticed any problems with that road. You know what road really needs repairs? Just about all the rest of them...
