2 injured after ambulance crash in Denison

DENISON, Texas (KXII) - Two people were taken to the hospital after an SUV and ambulance collided in Denison Friday afternoon.

The crash happened at the intersection of Austin Avenue and Highway 69 around 12:45 p.m.

Firefighters say the ambulance hit the side of an SUV that was pulling out to turn, totaling the car and injuring the driver.

The patient inside the ambulance and the driver of the SUV were taken to the hospital.

The ambulance did not have any significant damage. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
