Ardmore non-profit hosts paper recycling day
ARDMORE, Okla. (KXII) - An Ardmore non-profit is looking to keep Carter County green with recycling and community clean-up days this summer.
The Ardmore Beautify Council is planning multiple recycling events starting Friday with their community paper shred day.
Executive Director Julie Maher says everything kicks off at 9 a.m. at the Citizens Bank and Trust in Ardmore. People can bring up to three boxes of paper to be shredded for free.
“We want out Southern Oklahoma community to be good partners so we can have a wonderful and beautiful clean, green Southern Oklahoma,” Maher said.
People participating in the shredding event are asked to stay in their cars. Beautify Council workers will pick up and drop off the recyclable documents.
