Grayson County reports 6th, 7th COVID-19 related deaths
SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) - The Grayson County Health Department reported the county’s sixth and seventh COVID-19 related deaths Wednesday.
Health officials say both patients were Sherman residents who died at local hospitals Wednesday morning. One of the patients was a man in his 70s and the other a man in his 50s.
The county also reported seven additional COVID-19 cases. The new patients are in their late teens, 20s, 30s, 40s, 60s and 70s. One of the newly confirmed cases is from Pottsboro, one is from Denison, four are from Sherman, and one is from Howe. All seven new patients are isolating at home. Health officials say five of the new patients had close contact with previously confirmed cases.
There are 63 active COVID-19 cases in Grayson County with eight hospitalized and 55 isolating at home. There have been 695 cases total in the county with 625 recoveries.
