SHERMAN, Tex. (KXII) - Police in Sherman have arrested a man they say killed another man at a homeless camp near the U.S. Highway 75 and 82 interchange early Thursday morning.

Police say they found the body of Shawnn Carl McNeil, 41, just before 1 a.m. at the camp behind the Ashley Furniture store.

Officers observed obvious signs of trauma to his head and indicators that his death was a criminal act, police said.

Sherman Police and Texas Rangers quickly identified Brian Michael Craft, 31, as a suspect and arrested him around 1:30 p.m. when they found him riding a bicycle on Texoma Parkway.

Craft was arrested for murder and booked into the Grayson County Jail.
