SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) - Looking towards the 2020-2021 school year, several school districts are thinking about allowing students to stay at home, and “remote learn”. That new option raised questions about student athlete’s eligibility for extra-curricular activities.

The U.I.L. announced that the decision would fall on the individual school district. In the past, the U.I.L. an the T.E.A. had it in their “side-by-side” document that students who take classes online, were eligible.

No change have been made yet to the start of Fall sports, which are set to begin August 3rd.
