SHERMAN, Texas (KXII) - For the most part, when Kyle Crick played for the Sherman Bearcats, he played one of the corner infield positions. But, he really found his role as a pitcher during his senior year. In that season, he went 7-2, with a 1.11 ERA and 95 strikeouts.

That one season was enough to get the major league scouts interested. Crick was drafted out of high school in 2011 by the San Francisco Giants, going number 49 overall.

In June of 2017, he made his big league debut against the Atlanta Braves. Pitching 2.1 innings, finding the strike zone often, throwing 26 strikes on 33 pitches.

He was later traded to the Pittsburgh Pirates, and has a career ERA of 3.43, with 154 strikeouts. Crick currently awaits for the MLB season to return, as he prepares for his fourth year in the big leagues.
